| the mods required to run those turbos on the street are substantial... for a fairly mild build on a stock engine, its not a good choice. Here's what he's doing: Custom work to be performed: * Replace factory turbos with new Sport 530’s * Replace factory precats with SpecialtyZ aluminized 5-bolt twin down pipes * Replace factory cats with SpecialtyZ aluminized test pipes * Install reduced port SS oil lines in lieu of stock hard pipes on turbos * Install new factory O2 sensors in down pipes * Install new 555 cc fuel injectors * Remove Stillen single air cleaner and install new Stillen dual intake filters. * Remove Eprom from computer and install new chip after injectors and dual filters are installed. (Eprom is socketed for quick removal). * Remove factory intercoolers (IC) and install upgraded Stillen ICs. (Will require trimming factory mounting bracket and rewiring front combination lights with new 90 degree electrical connector). * Remove factory IC ducting and install Stillen ducting. * Install new Precision Industries torque converter. * Install new 4.10 ring and pinion gear in rear end. * While engine is out a vacuum/boost sense line and electrical harness will need to be routed for new Blitz ID-III electronic boost controller, (placement of display and control box to be determined). * Install new NGK Iridium heat range 7 spark plugs. * Install Stillen Speedo calibration box in series with existing speed sensor signal. (Will require real-time calibration). * Install MT 255-50-16 street radials on rear and new Z-rated 225-50-16’s on front. Parts: # Sport 530 BB Turbos # SS oil lines for BB Turbos # (6) Iridium spark plugs heat range “7” # (6) 555 Nismo fuel injectors # Dual intake filter assembly (unless existing single is upgradeable) # Stillen chip upgrade for injectors and dual intake filters # Stillen intercoolers # Stillen intercooler ducting # Stillen Speedo adjustment box # 5-bolt aluminized down pipe # Aluminized straight test pipe # Blitz SBC ID-III boost controller # Precision lockup converter (3,200 RPM stall) ??? # Leader 4.10 Ring and Pinion gear
No portwork, no manifolds, no mods focused on reducing lag. This is the perfect case for going the sport 530 instead of the 2530.
IMHO, the Z1 600R kit is the way to go. Same performance as the sport 530, slightly bigger, and much cheaper.
